Lovell Stone Group has grown significantly over recent years and we now own and operate five quarries within the South West region; all of which offer iconic British stone to customers throughout the UK. And, at the end of 2020, Forest of Dean Stone Firms, suppliers of Great British Pennant Sandstone, became part of the Lovell Stone Group family. In addition to our own reserves we also process and supply other heritage British Stones such as Portland and Lincolnshire.

Simon founded the Company, along with his brother James, in 2009. He manages the day-to-day operations of Lovell Stone Group and is responsible for it's performance. He is in charge of all acquisitions and capital investment, and works closely with the entire team to lead the growth of Lovell Stone Group.
James founded the Company, along with his brother Simon, in June 2009. He oversees the commercial and sales side of the business. He is usually the first point of contact on all new major projects. He supervises the sales team and estimating and contracts departments and is instrumental in harnessing customer relationships and new business opportunities.
Pat, who is based at our Purbeck stone quarry and processing works in Dorset, has worked for the group for many years; working closely with all our quarry teams to ensure seamless production and customer service. In January 2016 he was promoted to Director of Operations in recognition of his years’ of experience and dedication to the stone industry.
Tom has joined the Group as Executive Director and his role will be focused on growth consolidation and supporting the delivery of the Group’s strategic aims.
He joins us from Tarmac Building Materials Ltd and has extensive corporate and general management experience at Director level in the construction materials sector, and his career has spanned positions in production, commercials/sales, product development and logistics.
Marie is a Chartered Management Accountant who has many years’ experience of managing company finances for both single and multisite organisations. She has been with the company for a number of years; seeing the company rapidly expand and manages the accounts for Lovell Stone Group Ltd and all its associated businesses. In recognition of her commitment to the company, Marie was promoted to Financial Director in January 2021.
Geoff is our Sales Manager for building stone products. With extensive industry experience he looks after a large number of customers throughout the region including builder’s merchants, housebuilders, suppliers and developers.
Simon Willmott is our Technical Sales Manager and will be focusing on specification led sales for Lovell Stone Group. Simon brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge to the group; with a comprehensive background in the industry.
Rob is based at our quarry in Purbeck and liaises with customers from initial project concept through to design, detailing and production. He provides estimations for projects across the Group and oversees contracts on major works ensuring they are delivered as efficiently as possible.
Kerry is based at Down's Quarry and will usually be your first point of contact within Lovell Stone Group Ltd. Having been with the company for a number of years, Kerry’s role has evolved as the business has grown and she now manages the logistics for all of our quarries, production schedules for our range of building stone products, and manages the sales administration side of the business.
Nathan is responsible for the production of sawing & masonry at our Purbeck Works; including quality control. He's an experienced stone mason and also programmes our 5 axis CNC saw.
Kelly is our Marketing & HR Manager with over 18 years experience of marketing communications and business developement in public sector, charitable organisations and multi-nationals. She looks after all the marketing communictaions and digital strategies for Lovell Stone Group in addition to her HR responsibilities for Lovell Stone Group.
Sam has been with Lovell Stone Group from day one and is responsible for the day to day book-keeping duties including accounts, credit control and invoicing.
Steve has worked within the mining industry for 48 years. He is responsible for all aspects of mine development both under and above ground. His role includes managing the Health and Safety and Competence Management Systems for Hartham Park Underground Quarry.
Adrian is responsible for the day to day running of underground operations and the extraction of stone at Hartham Park Bath Stone. He has over 30 years' experience extracting Bath Stone; 20 of which are associated with Hartham Park.
Richard has worked within the stone industry for 30 years. In addition to running the quarry and processing works at Chicksgrove & Chilmark he is also responsible for our Hurdcott Greenstone quarry.
Lee manages our Somerset Lias quarry and processing works and has over 20 years of stone industry experience. As part of this role, Lee is also Health & Safety Officer for the Lovell Stone Group sites, which includes Somerset Lias, Chicksgrove & Chilmark and Purbeck.
Rob is Head of Engineering & Maintenance across our Lovell Stone Group quarry sites; Purbeck, Somerset Lias and Chicksgrove & Chilmark.
Ashleigh joins us with a comprehensive background in finance support and administration. She will be supporting the Financial Director, Marie Allen, with the accounts for Lovell Stone Group and its associated businesses.
