Lovell Stone Group has grown significantly over recent years and we offer iconic British stone to customers throughout the UK. We own and operate our six quarries across the South West; from the extraction of the mineral to the processing of natural stone, giving us an unrivalled and intricate understanding of the raw material.

The Group has three separate sawing and masonry processing works and four guillotine operations. This enables us to scale production when required but remain agile enough to deliver the bespoke for exacting requirements.

We work with architects, designers, and specifiers during the initial design process and create products tailored to the requirements of individual projects. This service includes design and value-added engineering guidance. 

In addition to our own reserves we also process and supply other heritage British Stones such as Portland and Lincolnshire.

Lovell Stone Group continues to invest heavily in state-of-the-art equipment and training to equip our specialist staff with the tools and resources required to provide leading industry knowledge, experience and insight.

Simon Hart

Managing Director

Simon founded the Company, along with his brother James, in 2009. He manages the day-to-day operations of Lovell Stone Group and is responsible for it's performance. He is in charge of all acquisitions and capital investment, and works closely with the entire team to lead the growth of Lovell Stone Group. 

James Hart

Sales & Commercial Director

James founded the Company, along with his brother Simon, in June 2009. He oversees the commercial and sales side of the business. He is usually the first point of contact on all new major projects. He supervises the sales team and estimating and contracts departments and is instrumental in harnessing customer relationships and new business opportunities.

Tom Waddington

Tom is an Executive Director and his role is focused on growth consolidation and supporting the delivery of the Group’s strategic aims.
He joined us from Tarmac Building Materials Ltd and has extensive corporate and general management experience at Director level in the construction materials sector, and his career has spanned positions in production, commercials/sales, product development and logistics. 

Pat George

Pat, who is based at our Purbeck stone quarry and processing works in Dorset, has worked for the group for many years; working closely with all our quarry teams to ensure seamless production and customer service. In January 2016 he was promoted to Director of Operations in recognition of his years’ of experience and dedication to the stone industry.

 

Marie Allen

Marie is a Chartered Management Accountant who has many years’ experience of managing company finances for both single and multisite organisations. She has been with the company for a number of years; seeing the company rapidly expand and manages the accounts for Lovell Stone Group Ltd and all its associated businesses. In recognition of her commitment to the company, Marie was promoted to Financial Director in January 2021.

Geoff is our Sales Manager for building stone products. With extensive industry experience he looks after a large number of customers throughout the region including builder’s merchants, housebuilders, suppliers and developers.

 

Rob Simpson

Estimator & Contracts Manager

Rob is based at our quarry in Purbeck and liaises with customers from initial project concept through to design, detailing and production. He provides estimations for projects across the Group and oversees contracts on major works ensuring they are delivered as efficiently as possible.

Kelly Fenech

Marketing & HR Manager

Kelly is our Marketing & HR Manager with experience of marketing communications and business developement in public sector, charitable organisations and multi-nationals. She looks after all the marketing communictaions and digital strategies for Lovell Stone Group and associated businesses in addition to her HR responsibilities for the Group. 

Andrew Liddle

Andrew has worked in the mineral extraction industry for over 35 years and has operated at various levels, from driving machinery to opening new quarry operations. He will lead our Health & Safety policies and procedures across the Group with the site managers and drive our environmental and quality initiatives for the Group operations.

Sean McAnulty has joined Hartham Park Bath Stone as Mine Manager and is repsonsible for the overall operations and the health and safety.  He has extensive mining management experience from Australia, Norway, Greenland and Ireland.

Adrian is responsible for the day to day running of underground operations and the extraction of stone at Hartham Park Bath Stone. He has over 30 years' experience extracting Bath Stone; 20 of which are associated with Hartham Park.

Richard Matthews

Richard has worked within the stone industry for 30 years. In addition to running the quarry and processing works at Chicksgrove & Chilmark he is also responsible for our Hurdcott Greenstone quarry.

Adam Turner

Adam, an experienced stone mason, worked in our masonry workshop for several years before joining the estimating team. He brings his knowledge of working with natural stone to the role and works alongside Rob Simpson, Estimating & Contracts Manager.

Sarah Jevon

Sarah will typically be your first point of contact in the sales office, supporting our external sales teams, and is responsible for sales administration, sales quotes, pro-forma invoices and order acknowledgments. In addition, Sarah co-ordinates all our delivery logistics and production schedules for our natural building stone range. 

Sarah has a comprehensive background in sales, purchasing and customer service.     

Sam Parish

Sam has been with Lovell Stone Group from day one and is responsible for the day to day book-keeping duties including accounts, credit control and invoicing for the group, including Hartham Park Bath Stone. Sam also manages our production payroll and provides wider administrative support for the entire group.
