This beautiful new build farm residence in Fovant, Wiltshire, is built out of our Chicksgrove D Bed sawn, split & tumbled building stone. It was designed by Michael Lyons Architecture and built by PF Parsons Limited. The clients visited our Chicksgrove quarry and selected this bed of Chicksgrove due to its creamy white colour and detailing.

Our Chicksgrove & Chilmark quarry is less than 5 miles away - all the stone for this new build was quarried and processed on site, making for a sustainable and low carbon building material. And, in true farming fashion, the client collected the 225m2 of stone in his tractor.

Chicksgrove & Chilmark is a fine grained creamy white limestone from the upper Portland series. It was used to build and restore buildings of great historical interest, however, the stone is equally suitable for use on newbuilds as it is on restoration schemes. It is an approved match for Kentish Ragstone, Reigate Stone, Malmstone & Selborne Stone.

Our Chicksgrove sawn, split & tumbled building stone is cut to regular course heights; 65mm, 140mm and 215mm for ease of fixing, whilst maintaining the beautiful natural aesthetics.
