PURBECK JURASSIC BLEND INTERNAL FLOORING HAS RECENTLY BEEN USED DURING THE EXTENSIVE INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT OF THE CHURCH OF ALL SAINTS, WRINGTON.
The durability and aesthetic qualities of Purbeck stone mean that it has been chosen as a building and flooring material within English Churches and Cathedrals for many hundreds of years. It was therefore only natural that the stone would be specified by Benjamin & Beauchamp Architects, who are experts in architectural design conservation, for the recent work undertaken at All Saints’ Church.
Lovell stone group supplied 2oosq/m of their Purbeck Jurassic blend to Ellis & Co who were carrying out the extensive conservation and restoration work. Ellis and Co are award winning experts in the conservation, repair and renovation of historical and ecclesiastical buildings.
Lovell Stone Group worked closely with the architects and craftsmen during the scheme to ensure that the products supplied met their very specific requirements. In addition to their Jurassic Blend, the Company also supplied some interesting and bespoke products such as bullnose treads with cavetto moulding and Purbeck flooring with Blue Lias mosaic inserts.
